What is CBTi?
CBTi (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia) is recommended by NICE as the first line treatment for insomnia.

Sessions consist of small changes you could make to improve your sleep and hypnosis to help your brain process those. Medication rarely solves the causes of insomnia.
How does hypnotherapy for insomnia work?

An initial consultation will help you understand more about how the brain works in relation to sleep and insomnia. After that, sessions consist of:

Most people need 6-8 sessions. A more accurate indication of number of sessions can be given after the initial consultation and assessment.

What do you need to do?
You won’t need to stop any other treatments as hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy. It can be used alongside other treatments and therapies that you may be using or want to use.​ You won’t need to talk about any past experiences that you do not want to as we will be looking to the future, where you will be sleeping better.
​Online Solution Focused Sleep Therapy
I also deliver online Solution Focused Sleep Therapy with CBTi and hypnotherapy. Online hypnotherapy allows you to receive therapy from the comfort of your own home or other suitable location where you are secure and comfortable. Research suggests that online hypnotherapy can be as effective as face-to-face hypnotherapy for a range of issues. You just need to be in a secure, comfortable location where you will not be disturbed with in internet enabled laptop or tablet. I use secure video conferencing software for these sessions.
