About me
I am an award winning hypnotherapist and sleep coach, here to help you make the changes that are right for you and help you with long term issues like sleep problems, IBS and anxiety. It can often seem that things happen to get in the way of happiness, health and success. It can also sometimes feel that you may get in your own way and are not sure why or how to change this. I care about helping you find the key to solving these problems using evidence-based proven techniques.
Solution focused hypnotherapy is a forward- looking, talking therapy which mixes psychotherapy and hypnosis to help you make progress towards your goals. This is a very effective and powerful combination and means that most people need a lot fewer sessions than traditional psychotherapy.

I also use other proven and evidence based techniques such as CBTi and gut directed hypnotherapy as appropriate.

Achieving Goals

When I first started working with Alexandra , I felt that I had lost a part of myself during the lockdown. I had struggled with independence, binge eating and a general feeling of not having control of my life on and off for 5 years. The lockdown seemed to bring all of these issues to the surface and left me feeling like I couldn’t get out of this rut alone.
Working with Alexandra , I learnt to understand how the brain works, why I felt some of the fears I had, and ways to manage stress. Taking time to reflect each week, as well as using the learning about flight, fight and freeze, I began to feel calmer, less reactive and better able to make the decisions I wanted to. Alexandra helped me to better understand myself, what I wanted and what I could do to achieve what I wanted. Hypnotherapy made me realise that I can be and am successful, and I can achieve and feel the way that I want. I stopped just thinking about what I wanted, but each week achieving what I wanted, moving towards my bigger goals.
Through working with Alexandra , I no longer fear leaving the house alone, have almost eliminated my binge eating and feel confident at work to be myself and voice my ideas. I have gained a lot of independence and confidence, which has impacted every aspect of my life. I am more social, have made new friendships, got into a healthy food and fitness routine, thrived in my career and feel much more resilient in dealing with life's challenges. Without Alexandra I truly do believe it would have taken me years to achieve the goals and mindset I have now.

When I started seeing Alexandra, I was not sleeping and finding it really hard to concentrate. I was also feeling very stressed and low within myself.
